Shopping List
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cans black beans, undrained
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp dried basil leafs
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tbsp pureed chipotle chili peppers
Instructions
In a large heavy pot, heat the oil over medium heat, cook onion and garlic until onions are translucent. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring until meat is brown.
Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, vinegar, ground cumin and pureed chipotles.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 60 minutes, or until flavours are well blended.
