Classic BLT Bagel

Shopping List

  • 3 small bacon strips
  • Lettuce
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • 1 bagel (it can be any kind, plain, sesame, whole wheat, pumpernickel, etc)
  • Butter

Instructions

It can't get any easier than this!

On a microwave-safe dish, place several layers of paper towels. Place up to six uncooked bacon strips across the paper towels.

Cook the bacon for approximately 3 minutes on the highest setting. For three slices of bacon, cook for about 1 1/2 minute.
Place several layers of paper towels over the bacon.

Remove the paper towels and let the bacon sit for about 1 minute to cool. The bacon will be crispy and delicious.

Cut the bagel in half, toast it, spread butter in both sides. Add tomato slices, lettuce and bacon in one half and cover with the other half. Cut the bagel in half and enjoy!

You can use mayo instead of the butter if you like.
